POSH was established with a motto “Educate a woman, empower a woman!” to empower women socially, economically, politically and legally and to safeguard the rights of female members; faculty, staff and students of the College
Vision
To educate, empower, enlighten the female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of the College and pave their way to grow into successful women in the society
Mission
- Advice - which will be persuasive by giving an option, judgment and recommendation.
- Guidance - which will be encouraging by showing the way, educating, influencing and constructing good for women
- Counselling - a two way collaborative approach to enable females to explore their problems, understand and resolve their problems. This will be a facilitative approach
Objectives
- To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender.
- To create a conducive counselling environment for female gender to share their problems.
- To sensitize the college community on the need for empowerment of women.
- To enable the College community understand the role of everyone in empowering women students.
- To help women students understand their strength and potential.
- To educate girl students on women specific health issues and measures to be taken.
- To provide help, in case of necessity round the clock.
